7:00 - 9-ish pm

KRISTA WALSHKRISTA WALSH - TRY EVERYTHING ONCE! Krista Walsh was a failure. At 20-years old she had been fired 3 times in 6 months from her career as a dental assistant. As she had to re-evaluate her career path (and face unemployment), Krista moved back home with her parents to work in her family’s home heating business. Today Krista is a multifaceted entrepreneur, author and speaker with businesses spanning from debt collection to fitness. She has been named an Emerging Leader for Atlantic Canada (twice), Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Canada Association of Professional Speaker’s Rising Star and has developed into one of Canada’s leading young entrepreneurs. The turning point came on hilarious, frightening toboggan run with her 7-year old nephew.

ELIAS PUURUNEN - UNHANDLED EXCEPTION As a child, Elias Puurunen was told that due to his cerebral palsy, there would be a number of things that he 'definitely' would never be able to do. After years of writing and self-reflection, however, he realized how everything he's ever done accomplished down to a clever manipulation of systems. Today, Elias is the Chief Futurist at Northern HCI Solutions. His event management app Tractus has connected people at conferences, seminars and symposiums across Canada. He is also a consultant and advisor to technology firms and government organizations. His work led to an agreement between the Canadian Government and Siemens Canada, creating jobs and investment into green infrastructure.

STEVE HOPKINSONSTEVE HOPKINSON: THE BUCKLEY'S SYRUP OF GROWTH After two decades of dreaming, fearing, and self-doubt, Steve Hopkinson finally decided to step forward and tackle a bucket list item. The decision, the experience, and conquering would change him forever. Now Steve knows that fear and failure are the Buckley's cough syrup of personal growth. Steve is a speaker coach whose passion is to help others find ways to better articulate their message, their content, and their delivery.

KEITH MACPHERSON - FEATURED MUSICIANKEITH MACPHERSON - FEATURED MUSICIAN As a motivational speaker, presenter, and pofessional musician, Keith Macpherson has spent over twenty years touring globally in countries including Canada, The United States, Mexico, Africa, Dubai and The United Kingdom. Keith’s song The One was also recently the winner of David Suzuki’s Playlist for The Planet album. In 2006, Keith spent a summer on Season 4 of Canadian Idol and placed in the top 22. He has shared stages with Jann Arden, Tegan and Sara, Dean Brody, Sean Lennon and Chantal Kreviazuk. Keith is also a mindfulness trainer, life coach and author of the new book, Making Sense of Mindfulness. Through story and song, Keith will take us on a journey of mindfulness, which started, surprisingly, in grade seven, when he was failing French class ...

HELEN WILKIEHELEN WILKIE - THERE'S NO EXPIRY DATE ON BADASSERY Society says some funny things about what we should and should not do at any given age — especially when that numbers starts climbing over fifty.
