Laura Fernandez was born in Madrid Spain and lived in Switzerland as a young girl before immigrating to Canada with her family. She is a painter, musician, singer-songwriter pianist, international recording artist, radio broadcaster and producer, Realtor and mother of three. She spent the first part of her adult life mainly as a visual artist forming one half of the successful illustration team Jacobson Fernandez. At the top of her game and faced with the establishment of the digital age, Laura was inspired to forge a new path in the wake of a quickly disappearing career. Reinventing herself and restructuring her life, Laura explored new horizons and is now reaching new heights. She has since embraced her roots and her passion for music, has released 2 CD’s and is performing regularly here and internationally. As producer and host of Café Latino on one the world’s premier Jazz stations, Laura has become an ambassador for Latin Jazz and Latin music. She broadcasts weekly heralding the music and talents of local and international musicians, telling their stories and speaking of art and culture. She was recently named to the Steinway artist roster, a latent dream come true. She is also an award winning Realtor with Toronto’s top Luxury Real Estate Brokerage. Currently she is working on recording her third CD produced by multi Grammy award winning Helik Hadar. The Cd will be called Imagination. For more about Laura, visit http://.
