Your momondays GoogleDrive is where we store all the key resources for momondays, including the Digital Library where you’ll find template emails, graphics, Facebook banners and logo, and more. It’s also where you’ll find your very own momondays City Folder, where you can store files that you’d like to share with us, for example.
After you get set up with your own admin access to your momondays.com dashboard, you’ll find direct links to most of these folders, but for now, it’s super helpful for you to learn how to navigate around your GoogleDrive.
The easiest way to get in is to log into your momondays Gmail at http://email.momondays.com. (Always use your momondays Gmail username and password for this.) Near the top right, you’ll see an icon that looks like a 3x3 grid. When you click on it, you’ll see a window open up with a bunch more icons. You can easily rearrange them to suit your needs -- which is why your window won’t look exactly like this one. The two I want to draw your attention to are ‘Drive’ and ‘Hangouts’.
Click on ‘Drive’ and you’ll be taken to a new window. For future reference, you can always link directly to this page at https://drive.google.com/. If you are using a mobile device, you may be asked if you want to download and install the app for Drive. Feel free to do that if you like - use it in any way that fits your natural workflow best.
Now, here’s the thing I really, really want to ask you to do: Poke around your drive and look for two folders:
- Your momondays City Folder
- The momondays Digital Library folder
You may find them in ‘My Drive’ (top left) or in the ‘Shared with Me’ section just below. If you still can’t find it, try putting ‘momondays Digital Library’ in the search bar at the top of your page.
Incidentally, you may want to create a subfolder within your city folder and grant access to that folder to your photographer or videographer. This may make the uploading of files easier, but you have to be really careful to manage those users carefully. In any case, we don’t recommend doing this with more than two partners.
Once you locate the momondays Digital Library, go through it and get familiar with all the resources available to you. There are two documents inside the Digital Library that are absolutely key for you to look at and review right now. They are:
- momondays Operations Manual
- momondays Photo Video Guidelines
There’s a lot of reading in the two documents, so take your time… but start right away so you don’t get held up from taking the next step.
